Mary Lilly Driciru

Sr. Mary Lilly Driciru is a member of the Missionary Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church founded in Lira Diocese, Uganda. She served five years at the Secretariat of the Association of Religious in Uganda as communications coordinator/director. She also served as secretary for the Committee of Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation for over 10 years at the secretariat. She has become an advocate for social and environmental justice. She is the coordinator for Talitha Kum East Africa and Africa Faith and Justice Network Uganda. She holds a master's degree in communications and postgraduate certificate in theology.

The internet system in Uganda was born out of a basic need to communicate safe routes due to terror threats when the Lord's Resistance Army was rampant. Commercial investment is low, but the Catholic Church's network is still online and changing lives.
