Yesterday, I responded to a post at the Institute for Religion & Democracy by Marjorie Jeffrey in which she attacked John Carr. As many readers know, Carr was the chief staffer for the U.S. bishops for more than 20 years on issues of justice and peace and is now starting up an initiative on Catholic social teaching in public life at Georgetown University. Carr has now posted his own response.
