Over at The New Republic, John Judis looks at the diminishing prospects for immigration reform in the House as Rep. Raul Labrador (R-ID) abandons the "Gang of Eight" in that chamber. Judis is a smart analyst, and his warnings about the prospect of immigration reform must be taken seriously. Religious leaders should be at the forefront of the fight to convince enough House Republicans to vote for immigration reform and to put pressure on Speaker John Boehner to permit a vote even if the bill does not have majority support within the GOP caucus.
