Downton is pure, unadulterated fluff, the kind of thing for which we should turn to television. But, Wolf Hall, BBC's latest drama, is that horrible creature, fiction written with historical figures. At the Telegraph, Dominic Selwood on why the show's portrayal of a sympathetic Thomas Cromwell is way off the mark.  I concur. More importantly, so does Simon Schama. 

Archbishop Michael Fitzgerald, formerly of the Vatican's Council for Interreligious Dialogue and, later, nuncio to Egypt, will be giving a lecture at Catholic University on this Friday, March 6, at 10 a.m. on finding grounds for better understanding with Islam. From the file marked "It Costs Nothing to Dream," Politico.com on what would happen if Hillary Rodham Clinton decided not to run for the White House. I watched her speech at the Emily's List dinner last night. I had forgotten just how dreadful a public speaker she is. Democrats need to wake up or they might find themselves pondering the three terrible words, President Scott Walker.
