At Politico, Kate Andersen Brower on the roles First Ladies played in their husbands' campaigns in previous years. Very interesting to see that this year's crop of spouses are relatively quiet compared to their predecessors. 

At RNS, Mark Silk on the decision by the religious organizations to accept the compromise offered by the Supreme Court in the controversy over the HHS contraception mandate. For the life of me, I can't tell the difference between this compromise and the accommodation offered by the administration previously, except for timing, which is not usually a key component in analysis of cooperation with evil. 

At Vatican Insider, the Holy Father explains why he is going to Lesbos on Saturday. His words, both today at the General Audience and on Saturday, will have direct relevance to the political campaign in the U.S. Will the bishops step up to the plate and defend immigrants with the force that the Holy Father is doing?
