At the Washington Post, the Supreme Court decides to take a case on redistricting. My prediction: They will defer to the political branches. 

Also in the WaPo, E.J. Dionne on the long, slow evisceration of political norms. Having watched Newt Gingrich cast unfounded aspersions on the integrity of Bob Mueller on all the networks the past week, it is discomforting to realize he still cares more about winning than about democracy. 

At Politico, early voting in tomorrow's special election in Georgia's Sixth congressional district is through the roof. And, this story on the prominence of Nancy Pelosi in GOP advertising in that special election illustrates why it is time for her to give the leadership of the House to someone new, someone who has not been the object of twenty years of negative advertising.
