In a moment of serendipity, after finishing my post this morning, and considering the stance of the editors at First Things and Archbishop Charles Chaput at the synod, I borrowed the housemate's car to run to the store. He had the soundtrack of "Les Miserables" playing. This was the song, suggesting a new meme - they are playing Javert: "I am the law and the law will not be mocked!"
