At Whispers, Archbishop Jose Gomez delivers a strong defense of immigrants and shares his worries about the fears that have been stoked in that community. This is a good sign that the bishops intend to fight any severe anti-immigrant proposals but it must be pointed out: This might have been more usefully said BEFORE the election. 

On the other hand, at the National Catholic Register, Cardinal Raymond Burke is all smiles about the election of Donald Trump. I would not that shortly after this interview was published, the Holy Father called Burke in for an unscheduled meeting. I wonder what they talked about? 

Actually, no need to speculate about what Pope Francis and Cardinal Burke discussed: Look at this interview at La Stampa with Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin, especially his answer to the last question:

What are you most concerned about in today's world? 
"The millions of children that are forced to leave their homes, the thousands of unaccompanied minors who fall prey to abuse and exploitation. The fate of peoples who are innocent victims of war. Political and multilateral efforts are needed in order to remove the root causes of the vast movement and forced displacement of peoples, in other words conflicts, ciolence, human rights violations, environmental degradation, extreme poverty, the trade and trafficking of arms, corruption and sinister commercial and financial plans."
