From Radio Vaticana, excerpts from the Holy Father's homily at Mass this morning. Again, he very thoughtfully encourages what he terms "superficial" Christians to go deep, and he likewise encourages "rigid" Christians to find joy.
I hope when he is having his weekly meetings with Cardinal Ouellet to discuss the appointment of bishops, they are talking about this. I look at some of the appointments over the past few years, and while there are no "superficial" or "gnostic" bishops, there are plenty who seem to "live in perpetual state of mourning." If either the cardinal or the pope would like a list, I would be happy to provide it.
