Conservatives like to trash Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good (CACG). The group once got a bit of start-up money from a foundation funded by George Soros. The horror! But, CACG has a long history of promoting traditional Catholic beliefs, including our commitment to the unborn, in the public square. At CNN's Opinion Blog, Christopher Hale, a senior fellow at CACG, has an article today making the case that being pro-life is completely consistent with being progressive. I am sure this will generate some controversy, on both sides of the partisan divide. Good for Hale.
