Talk about strange bedfellows, and not of the Bridgeport, cross-dressing variety, but of the intellectual variety: Over at First Things, Matthew Cantarino reports on how some men of the Left have discovered an unlikely champion in the person of Pope Benedict. How many times do I need to say it: To rescue modernity from itself, the Catholic Church is the only intellectual tradition with the resources to even frame the right questions, let alone point in the direction of good answers.
