Daniel Burke and David Gibson, at RNS, have a great article on tonight's first-ever debate between two Catholic candidates for national office. They also link to Melinda Henneberger's wonderful piece in yesterday's Washington Post. 

And, please, oh please, will all the attention on the different ways these two Catholic men express their faiths lead to at least one conclusion we can all agree on: It is time to retire the idea that the public square is religiously naked. The public square is filled with religion, not always in ways I applaud, but in ways that are undeniable.
