Over at RNS, Mark Silk encourages the Obama White House to find a real diplomat to takeover the post of ambassador at large for international religious freedom. Silk is right that Johnson Cook's tenure was uneventful to say the least, despite the fact that religious freedom is at the core of some of the world's most difficult challenges. Secretary of State John Kerry grasps this in ways the bureaucracy at Foggy Bottom does not, and Silk is right to hope that Kerry will give this appointment serious consideration.
