Over at The New Republic, Matt Taylor looks at the "Cuomo Conundrum" and how his actions as governor might complicate whatever presidential ambitions he harbors. I have not yet examined his proposals on re-writing New York's abortion laws, except to know they are very wrong-headed. Perhaps the apple has not fallen far from the tree: Cuomo's father was a luminary in the Democratic Party at a time it went off the rails, focusing endlessly on culture war issues and forgetting its historic vocation as a champion of the working classes.
