Eugene Volokh, at the Volokh Conspiracy blog, has a useful explanation of what the Religious Freedom Restoration Act is. RFRA will be at the heart of the U.S. Supreme Court's treatment of the Hobby Lobby challenge to the HHS contraception mandate as well as court cases dealing with suits by religious employers, such as the University of Notre Dame, which re-filed their suit earlier this week.
