Pope Francis will become the first leader of the Roman Catholic church to play a role in a film, according to several reports.
The pontiff will reportedly play himself in an upcoming feature called Beyond the Sun, which is to relate Gospel tales for young children.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that principal photography will begin sometime this year, with profits going to charity.
