If you had five minutes with Pope Francis, what would you discuss?

If you had five minutes with Pope Francis -- just the two of you -- what would you tell him? What you you ask him? We want to hear what you think.

Pope Francis is set for his first visit to the United States. To mark the historic event, NCRonline.org is launching a new blog series, "5 minutes with Francis."

Here's the premise: If you managed to meet up with Pope Francis during his U.S. visit, and, despite his packed schedule, you had his full, undivided attention for five minutes. What would you say to him? Would you tell him something or ask him about something?

Pick one subject, and send us a brief note (300-400 words max) about the subject, and what you would say.

Send your answer to francis5minutes@gmail.com.

We'll run the best of readers' submitted subjects on NCR Today, under the feature series tag "5 minutes with Francis." We'll try to post as many submissions as we can throughout the pope's U.S. trip. (If your topic of discussion gets chosen after you submit an answer, try to choose another subject, or at least a different perspective on the same subject.)

Given the pope's spontaneity, this could be great practice if you unexpectedly run into him during his trip!

To aid in brainstorming, check out NCR's coverage leading up to Francis' U.S. visit on our dedicated feature series page "Francis in the United States."

[Editor's note: To minimize confusion and help ensure submissions go to the right spot, we're going to close the comments thread for this announcement post.]
