Global Sisters Report, a website dedicated to telling the stories of sisters and the people they serve, has been writing about LCWR:

  • Dan Stockman blogs about Nun Justice, a coalition of 15 progressive U.S. Catholic organizations, asking Catholics to pray for women religious at the Nashville assembly.
  • Dawn Cherie Araujo's coverage of a June leadership conference at The Catholic University of America, which focused on the spiritual leadership of LCWR and women religious.
  • Background on conscious evolution: Sr. Ilia Delio explains conscious evolution and the necessary relationship between science and religion in response to Cardinal Gerhard Müller's April 30 statement on the topic. Müller, prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, criticized LCWR's focus on conscious evolution, saying that "the fundamental theses of Conscious Evolution are opposed to Christian Revelation."

Background on Sr. Elizabeth Johnson: Jamie Manson covers Sr. Elizabeth Johnson (feminist theologian, Fordham University professor and author), her influential work and how she dealt with the church condemning her writing. Manson's piece for BuzzFeed profiles Johnson's academic career and her work on feminist theology. Johnson is the winner of LCWR's 2014 Outstanding Leadership Award; LCWR will celebrate her work during its 2014 assembly.
