O Comfort, comfort my people, says your God; shower your tenderness upon us.
There are so many people in our world in need of comfort: the people of the Philippines devastated by Typhoon Haiyan, the women working in the garment factories of Bangladesh and Haiti, the single mother who depends on a minimum-wage job to support her family, and the parents of young victims of drive-by shootings. How can I be a bearer of comfort for these people today? What words of consolation or encouragement can I speak? What small deeds can I offer to bring comfort to those with so little?
