PHILADELPHIA, Penn.—LaSalle University is putting 46 pieces from its art museum up for auction, according to the AP.

The works for sale come from a several different periods and styles. Works by some well-known artists, such as Henri Matisse, will be included.

The university has been struggling with declining enrollment, budgetary issues, and layoffs, and hopes that funds from the sale, which are expected to bring in at least $4 to $7 million, will help it correct course.

COLCHESTER, VT.— St. Michael's College is introducing new majors in data science and statistics for the upcoming school year, according to a press release by the college. Minors in those areas of study will be offered as well.

Among other important topics, students will be exposed to algorithms that are used for artificial intelligence. "We hope it will allow [students] to see the utility tools," Professor Greta Pangborn said in the press release, "but also recognize what is sometimes buzzword hype. Students will grapple with the ethical implications of these tools in our program."

The new majors will be open to incoming first-year students this fall; current juniors will be able to pursue minors in the new fields then as well.

CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY.—Thomas More College will be expanding its athletic and co-curricular offerings in the fall of 2018, according to a press release at the Northern Kentucky Tribune.

The college, which has set school records for enrollment each of the last two years, will be adding programs in men's volleyball, archery, shooting sports, and swimming/diving teams.

"Our growing enrollment has given us the resources we need for implementing new programs like these," Chris Powers, vice president of enrollment said in the press release. "We see a lot of enthusiasm building behind these additions."
