In last week's edition of "The World Over," host Raymond Arroyo repeated the canard that last week's CBO report indicated that the Affordable Care Act would cost 2.5 million jobs over ten years. This is a lie. Is lie too strong a word? No, not least because this falsehood was birthed for a purpose. The CBO report says 2.5 million people will leave the workforce, not that 2.5 million jobs will be lost. I wrote about the rightwing myth the day before Arroyo's show aired. If a pregnant unwed mother can be fired from a Catholic school, why is Arroyo permitted to continue in his job with so many repeated examples of his willingness to violate the commandment "Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness."
