The women religious of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles received sad news Monday from The Office of the Vicars for Religious:
- Sister Lucila Etelvina del Esp'ritu Santo Álvarez Garc'a, General Superior of the Missionaries of Jesus Crucified
- Sister Mar'a Magnolia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Santiago Jiménez, Vicar of the Missionaries of Jesus Crucified
- Sister Mar'a Gema de Jesús Castillo Torres, Coordinating council member of the Missionaries of Jesus Crucified
The other 3 Sisters, Clarita Cundafe Sanchez, Guadalupe Romero, and Veronica Frausto, are still hospitalized; the most critical of them is Sr. Clarita.
The Missionaries of Jesus Crucified serve at St. Malachy Parish in south Los Angeles. The sisters have asked to please keep their congregation in your prayers, as they mourn the loss of their leaders.
